My grandfather worked in Greenland when they we're putting in a oil pipeline back in the day. he told me this crazy story how 3 guys went out to kill a polar bear because they thought it would be cool. They had all types of guns and shit. Found a bear and basically unloaded in the bitch..well the bear didnt die and chased down each and every one of them. Keep in mind they all ran in different directions and he still caught them..and killed them. When he got done killing all the men he layed down and died.

I thought he was full of shit til he showed me the pictures and the newspaper report from greenland.

Nah. Only way to scare it off is with a gun shot (warning shot), other loud noise, or bear spray. The guy running around was playing in the bear's eyes. He didn't die, good for him. That just shows the bear wasn't keen on killing him.
