    Exept US: DX...

Have any of you guys seen a DX without a window washer? I just looked at every DX i could fine ( all of auto trader and this site ) and couldnt find this to be true.

Quick edit: Canadian cars have bigger reservoir's then US cars?

That isn't what it means. It means that when the squirters on a DX are activated, the wipers will NOT wipe simultaneously.

I can confirm this because I have both a DX and an EX.

I think it means that the DX wont sweep while washer is operated

That is just about the lamest thing i have heard about our cars. You would think it would be more expensive to manufacture 2 diffrent systems then to just put it in.

And why would you want that? You'd have to pull back the lever to spray your windshield, then twist the knob for the wipers. One touch deal FTW.

I actually prefer it that way! I hate how the wipers start before the windshield is sprayed. Dry wiping FTL. Manual precision, son!

lol. i was just thinking this same thing earlier today i used my windshield washer and i hear dry wiping and i was like that's kind of lame. and then the washer fluid hit and it splashed once it hit the blades.

then finally cleaned my windshield. i'd rather have the DX way but instead have the wipers wait until it gets the window wet then wipe.

The reason they would manufacture 2 systems is that in the long run, it becomes cheaper to simply omit a certain circuitry in a large production of cars.

Say it was only $1, no big deal right?

Well, sure, that is just a dollar, but when you have to buy 1 million of that thing in advance of ever selling even 1 car, it becomes a big savings.

What part actually controls this? Is it just the switch? So for say if you wanted to get on all you would need is the stalk on the column?

Oh and again: Why do canadian cars hold almost twice as much fluid as US cars?
