    The Vanishing.......

    Hey everyone

Sorry I haven't been around for a few months. So much has gone on and it's a rea long story, but I'm back and don't plan on goin away anytime soon.

Anyways, my H22 swapped Accord is wrecked. Some jackass backed into it and took out the whole side of the car. The motor still runs great so I pulled it out and I'll be selling it on Ebay within the next few days or so.

I purchased another 4th gen too. A green 93 EX. It had an H23/H22 motor under the hood but the guy could never get it running so I picked it up for a steal. I pulled the motor and plan to build it up even more and just installed an F22A4 in it just to have some daily transportation. The guy also completely stripped the interior, so I pulled the interior out of my wrecked 91 EX and trasplanted it into the new one. It runs great and should last a while as is and I have no plans to modify it besides the simple bolt-on crap that's already on it.

Th H23/H22 motor will be used for my race Accord project after it's built and I finally decided 100% for sure that it will be a mid-engine RWD car. Should be pretty freakin wild by the time I'm done with it.

I also moved (again!). I now have a decent house out in the middle of nowhere. My closest neighbor is almost a mile way. It's an old house, but it's sitting on a 4 acre, river front property. It's got a one car garage that I've been working out of and lots of cool stuff like my own personal boat launch, rope swings over the river, my own personal small island, and lots of wild stuff like that. I really like it and plan to stay here for a while.

Satelite internet will be hooked up eventually, but for now, I'm just using crappy dial-up. I should be on here a lot more regularly and I miss chattin with you guys.

I hope to catch up on everyones car projects/problems and maybe I can offer some advise or a different perspective on things.

Anyways, take it easy and rev hard.

Thats awesome. I love how you make it sound like you just threw an engine in your accord real fast! That would take me months.

Can not wait to see this rwd mid-engine monster. Magazines watch out!

got my engine at the end of summer just before school started, and soon after that i lost my job... so funds have been really short so ive mostly been doing work on my interior, ive been ripping it apart piece by piece to clean and do some stuff to, i wrote up a DIY for interior blue LEDs.

anyway, i know it looks like im loserish, but the h22 is still sitting in my garage. because im so inexperienced with it i didnt wanan start so close to the beginning of the winter, were i would be killing my frozen hands and i would be attempting to troubleshoot a transplant while its snowing out... that wouldnt be cool. i got those parts i asked u about a while back, clutch and belts and water pump etc. over the winter im probly gonna get the interior put back together and dyed grey, once spring/summer comes im gonna put h22-installation in high gear, then once its running well ill focus my time on doing some of the body work myself (dings and also shave some of the trunk lines, antenna and black ring around handles), then get the rust fiberglassed and the car painted. then i have no idea what im doing from there, we will see.

HA! Yeah, I'm obsessed with speed. My problem is that I'm not satisfied with just speed...I want the challenge of making something fast that was never really fast to begin with. Anyone can buy a fast car and brag about how fast it is. I want to BUILD a car and brag about how fast I BUILT the car to be. And magazines should eat it up like crazy...that's part of the reason I'm doing it. I want the publicity for business reasons, but more importantly, if I ever have grand-kids, I want to be able to pull out a few magazines and show them some of the stuff I've done in my day. It would be nice to have my family speak of me and my work for generations after I'm dead and gone.....kinda like living forever, but living through their words.

            Thanks for the compliments!

Sounds like you've got a plan! My best suggestion is to focus on one area at a time. When you do the body work...do it all at one time. Same with the interior work and the motor install. Otherwise, you do nothing but create hassles for yourself and you end up back-tracking and undo-ing what you've already done just to make something else work. If only you were closer..I'd help you get that H22 going a lot quicker than you think it's gonna take. When you get close to starting that, talk to me and I'll help you out anyway I can.....Parts or Tech advise, I got it all so just ask! If you don't have my number anymore let me know. Feel free to call about anything.

We're glad to have you back, Pat. All of us were wondering what happened to you in the past couple of months. It's pity that your hybrid was totalled; I knew you had great plans in store for that car the last time we met up in Maryland. *moment of silence*

Anyways, glad to hear that you are ok and things are doing well with your new house/property. How is Midnite doing? I'm still up for giving your shop a visit in the near future to get an estimate on some possible jobs I'd like for you to tackle with my accord. I'll give you a call soon.

THANKS... you are only like the 3rd person to say that after I took the lip and the volks off. Everyone was having withdrawal syndrome over it... but thank you.

No problem. Don't get me wrong I loved the car before to, I just have a thing for the Black on Tan 92/93. I'd love to find one locally in good shape with maybe a blown engine or transmission I could pick-up cheap and just swap over to.

I just like your choice of mods. The car looks sharp.

Yeah, AR has been incredibly slow lately. I've been spending most of my free time on here. Soooo much has changed in the past few months. I wish I could go just one month without anything major happening....why can't it be smooth sailing for just one month? Anyways, you deal with what's delt and I think I've been making the best of everything lately so it's all good.
