i just got fired today
boss said "we are going in a different direction", whatever the hell that means. i been there 5 years and they just toss me like nothing. i was even escorted off of the premises. i feel really great right now

This is one of the easiest places to hire and fire employees.

I'd definitely see about getting unemployment. That'll be a good way to "screw" them, since they have to pay into it.

They escorted you out to be sure you weren't gonna come back and start spraying bullets.
It has become kinda common practice in a lot of places.

Yesterday was my one year unemployed anniversary, laid off from a job I loved.

Claim unemployment. Everything will be ok.
"Going in a different direction" (whatever the fuck that means) is not "you're fired."
