You're not JDM until you have a car built in ohio with tons of bolt ons from ebay.

You're going backwards. You start with rattle cans, then rattle can quality paints thinned and sprayed, THEN you get quality paints and spray them.

Terrence I've painted more cars than you've owned . I know what it costs. Base, clear, thinner, activator, etc. Trust me I know. Still not an excuse to use cheap shit. But if he was just experimenting that's different.

....props to the OP. Look forward to seeing the finished product

but for real turbomaxx, cut the guy some slack. I did similiar to mine. I dont HAVE the money to "paint more cars than" some of us "have owned". It's his car. For what it is, it has my appreciation.

I'm not trying to flame guys, I just know what happens when you cheap out on paint. It's not just a color, it's protection. And if you care about your car, It's worth buying the good shit. Not flaming at all, just don't think it's a wise area to cheap out.

Wouldn't rust-oleum be quite effective at protection?

Depending on how its sprayed. I mean It's meant to come straight from that can to the surface, so once it's thinned I wonder if that fucked up its chemistry ya know?
