    Crazy Street Racers. Again.

    http://www.ctpost.com/news/media/Fat...eport-1989.php
this shit is crazy. This dudes car was all over HT.com. I wont speak ill of the dead. (Bad luck imo)
But this guy was seriously driving his car on the street with SKINNIES on the rear! WTF?
..Maybe people need to slow down and relax. Is it worth killing your self in a unsanctioned dick swinging contest?

Thats why I drive a very safe Accord Wagon. Civics are tin cans to start with, but unfortunately I have to drive one until my wagon is done. Plus I drive that little puke green bastard real slow and safe haha.

i mean my prayers go out to him and his family and friends, it really is sad. but SO easily avoidable if contained to the track only. please be smart!!

R.I.P, but if you have the money to drop on all the mods like that, you should get a roll cage.

Tragic loss for the family but... come on. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that that car is a death trap. He should have kept it on the track.

A roll cage can be deadly in a street car as well. A driver in a car with a roll cage should be wearing a helmet.

That sucks... but yeah, that's what happens when you modify and drive a car irresponsibly. Just because you built every bit of it doesn't mean it won't kill you if you crash.

i regularly see cars like this run on the street here in ny. I agree it is kind of crazy to run cars of this caliber like that though. I personally know a few people who run their 10 second honda with slicks and skinnies on the street although i have never experienced an accident like that. That is just crazy. sad shit

hard to believe that happened to the guy...

but that is the only reason why I rarely drive my Civic anymore, one little mistake or a drunk driver on the other side of the road and who knows what will happen to the car. You almost feel like you are on a bike and have to pay attention to absolutely everything at all times. Especially EF chassis Civic/CRX is THE definition of a death trap out of all early 90s cars that are still on the road.

Very true. There's nothing to those cars. They're dangerous enough at their sub-100hp level. Pump them up to 300+, and you're in a rocket powered tissue box.

Awesome on the track. Deadly on the street.

Anyone who has a drag-prepped car on the street is asking for trouble. The sad thing is, if this kid got pulled over by cops for running his car like that on the street, you'd see a big thread on whatever forum he's on about "fucking pigs"... and everyone would be agreeing with him.
