    Little project car

I found this nice car on craigslist for $500

    1991 integra GS

    Optional leather

    1 owner

    Immaculate condition

    287k

    MINOR accident.

My dad is helping me buy it. Im hoping to get it and fix the minor damage then resell it for alot profit.

The guy who posted the ad on craigslist didnt post pictures or leave a phone number so that turns away alot of potential customers already. I emailed him and got a phone number and pictures. Im taking a look tomarrow and hopefully getting it.

What's diff about the gs and ls models.

I thought the gs were sedans.

LS integras are like LX accords

Gs integras are like EX accords

      Mostly that is

The gs has these over the ls:

Power locks ( yes the ls has power windows but not locks lol )
      ABS ( even in 1990 unlike the cb7 )
      Alloy wheels
Bolster control ( not sure if its a 9293 only thing though )

The gs had an actual option of leather. Unlike the cb7 which was dealer installed. When a GS had leather it was basically like having the leather in an SE accord.

Really why not? I could get the parts at my local junkyard for under $100 easily. This car is worth at least $1000 with the minor damaged fixed. $500 is enough profit to satisfy me lol. I have wanted one of these integra's since i got my CB

I went and talked to the original owner today. Very interesting to listen to all of the stories since he bought the car. Original everything even the window sticker is included.

If i get a job this week / next week im keeping it.

Of course. I asked him if he would hold the car untill saturday. He said yeah

He really wanted to see the car in the hands of an enthusiast vs some random person who dosent care about it. He even asked if it would be alright if he could see it after i fixed it up.

The guy whos selling the car actual just opened up that garage 2-3 months ago.

The guy actualy told me the reason he bought the integra. He said his freind has an early 80's one ( not sure the year ). He said his freinds had 200,000 on it and was running great so he decided to buy one. he said he walked in, told them exactly what he wanted to buy and bought it. Didnt even test drive it. Just bought it off the lot lol. He said they offerd him an NSX too lol.

You're getting it from the original owner? Nice!

The mileage is high, but that's really the only problem other than the damage. It looks very nice otherwise, and it's VERY hard to find a bone-stock DA that isn't falling apart!

Put another $500 into fixing it up, sell it for $1500. Or just drop a B18C into it and enjoy a sporty DD while you make the CB7 a beast

DA's are known for falling apart?

The mileage dosent bother me one bit. It runs great. The autoamtic transmission shifts great too ( didnt drive it too far due to lack of tags though )

The A/C is still r12 charged from 1991 lol. Blows cold as hell.

they, like other hondas kinda do after a while. if they're past the point of no return and throughout the years it's been neglected, well those are the ones you see on CL up around my way all rotted out and beat on being parted out or selling for the motor...

taken care of, they can be as rewarding as any other well maintained honda imo

                              life is good.
