A couple weeks ago my neighbour's wife had a minor accident with her near pristine 92 EX.
She rear ended a GMC Savana at very low speed, and didnt even know she hit him. The trailer hitch of the van did all the damage to the Accord.
It folded up the hood and put a huge dent in the front edge of the hood. Pushed back the rad supports, but did not damage the condenser or rad luckily.
It also did not damage the grille or headlights. However it did crack the mounting points of both corner lights, and broke the black plastic bezels the headlights mount to. The bumper had 2 large gouges out of it as well.
Here is a crappy pic of the damage. It doesn't look bad in the photo. Hood folded, lights and grille pushed back a little bit.
Here's a couple in progress pics
In this photo, you can see the huge dent in the front edge of the hood above the grille emblem. I repaired this by drilling into it with a self tapping screw, and then holding the screw with a pair of pliers and pulling up on the screw to bend the lip of the hood back straight, and then applied bondo to smooth it out.
And the finished product, looks almost good as new.
All in all, I bent back, filled and painted the hood, repaired and repainted the bumper, replaced the centre section of the rad support, bent back the L & R sides of the rad support, replaced the black headlight mounting bezels, replaced the RH corner light and patched a hole in his rad that I punched while pulling the rad support straight.
So he's happy, and it gave me something to do for the past week. It's not a perfect job, but it's as good as I could do out of my garage.
