Shits goin down in Toronto.....I personally dont see the point in making a mess of things....Protest if you must....but why fuck shit up.....It sucks for the people who wanted a legit, peaceful protest....Fuckin anarchists.

I was gonna go check it out....but I worked 340-1140 and the lack of sleep made me think better of it.....I dont need a billy club to the face today.

i got home earlier from work and put on the news to see they smashed 3 cop cars, set 1 one fire, and vandilized shops...whats the g8-g20 summit anyways...what are they protesting

I'll never understand unruly protestors. When you destroy property, attack people, and cause such trouble... it severely decreases anyone's sympathy to your cause.

My best friend growing up became a pretty active animal rights activist. He'd never destroy anything, but he'd be one to heckle fur and leather shoppers, chain himself to fur racks, etc... It was irritating just hearing him talk about it. I AM sympathetic to his cause, but his extremist views irritated me so much that I eventually just turned a blind eye to everything. I didn't want to even think about it, because I thought his actions were stupid. He actually LOST a supporter... and his protest methods were non-destructive!

From what I understand the summit is meant for the world leaders to get together and talk about current world issues....Like Iran and North Korea developing nuclear weapons....and the world economy.

What people protest ranges from protesting the summit itself to people who are against eating meat....I saw a group of protesters give an interview and they were all wearing chicken and cow suits....Why they are protesting about this at this type of thing....I can only assume because of the publicity.

I also assume most of the people who are doing the real destruction couldnt care less about most things the g20 (or vegetarians) are there to talk about....They just want to fuck shit up.

I agree deev....If they legitimately have concerns then this really is only making people go the other way on the sympathy issue....The only sympathy I see is going towards the innocent business owners and the people who live in the area....They are getting their stuff ruined by dumbasses simply because they are in the area

Truthfully, I think damaging things like cop cars and vendor windows isn't the way to go about this. These things do not directly affect the people who can make a change to the policies/laws that people are protesting. Although fucking shit up is a very blatent way to get your point across, I strongly believe that the protestors are fucking up the wrong shit. Somebody needs to throw a rock through Dalton McGuinty's window and tell him to do away with the HST.

Indeed, I think I should just send him a smörgåsbord of exotic hookers with some known shady business men with offshore accounts in south America.
