Lost Title Question

has any1 here lost a title before? i finally found a buyer for my car and i cant seem to find it anywhere. i read around that you have to fill out a form and then they mail it to u .. i think if u pay extra u get it on the spot..

any1 know for sure?

i just asked my father and he said you have to contact the dmv and file a lost title than they mail it to you.. and he said he thinks it depends on the state if they do the paying extra and getting it on the spot. but he wasnt sure about that part

It will vary from state to state, but the one thing that remains constant is that you must contact the DMV, because they're the only ones that can make a new one.

Or, just tear your house apart... it's there somewhere!

I have no idea where the title is for my CB. Good thing I never plan on selling it.

that is correct the tax collector/tag renewal handles that situation
