So I pulled up to a gas sation a block away from my house and as I'm pumping this mexithug looking guy walks by and hes checking out my car I mean intently. So ok no big deal this car is fairly good looking it's a bit of a head turner (check sig) He's looking inside and Im just staring at him so he walks away and says "automatic" under his breath. SO ok no big deal I know its an automatic nd I'm cool with that. It's probably the reason why no one has tried to steal it. So this gets me thinking oh shit I live a block away from this place and this guy would have no problem finding it. I'm freaking out and to make it all worse the fucking guy kept staring at it as I pulled away like he was studying the damn thing.

I have a cobra alarm and a fuel kill switch on the car. I also have a gate around my house, shit's gonna be on lock down. so hopefully that does enough to stop any theft. It's times like these I wish I had a garage.

so yeah just paranoid this sucks.

I personally wouldn't be worried about it. He could have been genuinely checking it out. But, I have always lived in a pretty safe area... so I don't know what it's like to have to constantly watch my car. Seems like 90% of "my car got jacked/broke into/etc" threads are out of Cali or Florida.

Your alarm and safety switch should be enough to deter a thief, but it's not 100% fool proof. If all else fails, sleep with your window open so you can hear your alarm better.

dude it's merced, whenever im down there everyone is checking your shit out. all you can do is keep any eye out and the safety off.

yeah I know I might be over reacting a bit but you can never be too safe.

so hopefully it's all in my head.

It's not that I worry about getting my car stolen a whole lot the neighborhood is pretty chill in general reguarless of it's reputation. I've only had two incidents in the whole six years living here one when a storm broke the back fence and a couple of dudes were snooping around the back yard but I shut that shit down quick. The other one is my cb got stolen back when I had a cb but it got retrieved.

so yeah not too worried just a little paranoid.

Oh and I know better than to talk shit around here if I would of said something like that under my breath he would of probably got his homies and beat my ass to a pulp haha so I'm cool off that.

I like quiet personally. Nothing to worry about when it's quiet.

I can leave my house door unlocked at home. My house door anyway. car door, hell no. A certain minority, well, not really, likes to steal stereos.
