Couldn't pass it up considering that trade-in value on a stock, clean CB is right at $2k if not less already. On a side note, I do have full coverage on the car (always have ) as well and I believe that's a requirement for this extra mod ins.
well that's pretty amazing. didn't know it could be that easy.

when your car gets stolen, which it will unless you have a trunk monkey the insurance adjuster will ask what did you have in the car, then you give him the box of recepits....

Receipts, receipts, receipts if you want to ever see any money out of an insurance company when it comes to full coverage of aftermarket parts. Every insurance company and plan is different, which is why you should talk to your representative directly, in person if possible, and to other agents with other insurance providers to find a policy that fits your needs. Not only does that allow you to find the best fit policy but you also get a chance to shop the market.

With the rates you've mentioned, which I find hard to believe if you aren't on a plan with your family, I doubt you'll do better anywhere else with the same amount of coverage. Depending on what you need though, it might make sense to switch providers.

Also, don't take the word of ANY insurance salesman as truth. Be polite and get basic information from them but ALWAYS read the policy FULLY and in detail before handing over any money for coverage. I'm not trying to paint insurance people out as bad people, but, as deev said they are in the business to make money. They will tell you what you want to hear and nothing else besides the most basic information. The devil is in the details and you better believe that 15 page fine print policy has some exclusions that aren't going to fit your needs.

As with everything, go in with a game plan and know exactly what you need. Be thorough in your research and don't be afraid to ask tough questions. The people in the office are getting paid to help you out so don't feel bad about probing them.
