I just like the feel of the smooth transition from one gear to the next.

I do brake in neutral when I'm driving normally, though. That probably comes from my early days of driving stick, when I was paranoid about stalling all the time! I'll put it in gear to slow down faster, but when I'm just driving calmly, it's in neutral.

otherwise you are working the throw out bearing.

I rev match my downshifts and heel-toe whenever possible.

I have a bad habit of holding in the pedal at a light instead of putting in neutral though.

            I backhand 3-4 and 4-5.

            I engine brake alot.

And your pressure plate is pressing with a ton of force on the crank for longer than it needs to.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever I don't need to be in gear, I'm not. I'd rather repeatedly push the pedal in and it in stop and go, rather than keep it held down.

I'm also annoyed by people who ride their clutch when taking off. You hear the engine revving and the car going nowhere. Or, people from from a stop, only let the clutch out slow enough to get the car moving without using any throttle.

The first time I drive an unfamiliar vehicle with a stick, I'll probably accidentally ride it a few times until I get the feel of it.

                That stuff bugs me.
