    I hate doing CB7 brakes

Just thought I'd throw that out there. They do suck. I didn't think they were that bad at first, but I've only worked on Arizona CB7s. I recently got another 90' EX 5spd Sedan that originally was from NY and OMG. The hubs bearings were frozen in the spindles.

My method to bang em out by putting longer bolts didn't work so well and as a result I messed up the threads in two of the 4 holes.

So yeah, I spent a good part of my day trying to tap the holes, but that didn't work.

Oh well, guess I'm out a wheel bearing, putting a cheap 31.99 duralast one in b/c its a daily and idk how long I'll have this CB7 for, probably a year or so just for the long drives for my internship and school. Then I'll use my H22 CB7 for a job that's closer to home.

Idk, just wanted to rant about it.

Oh yeah, AZ heat SUCKS! 114 today, 116 degrees tomorrow. I had to pitch a tent to give myself some shade and even that only brought it down to like 100 lol.

But got almost everything replaced in the front: UCA, LBJ, rotors, pads, and did a rear motor mount on an EX 5spd....yeah let me know if you have any faster methods...took me 5 freakin' hours! not to mention my arms is all raw from all the scrapes. But thats off topic and a different thread. Now I just need to assemble it all.

yeah, but when its this hot, you need gloves to touch anything, no matter if the car has been sitting for hours or whatever. Even at the JY's I can't be there for more than an hour otherwise I start feeling all dizzy and confused.

          I despise captive rotors.

I'm totally doing the CL ROH conversion when it comes time to do my brakes.

True true, especially for metal parts. But when I visited the west, my favorite climate was Vegas. Hot and Dry. Loved it.

I reused the 10mm 12pt ones that were on there, but luckily I didn't go full bore with my impact otherwise those would've been stripped as well and those Honda specific bolts aren't cheap, about 4 bucks a pop.

yeah I always say that, but then how often am I actually doing my brakes? once every 2-3 yrs? So that always changes my mind.

I guess from now on, I'll stick to clean and corrosion free AZ cars for my cars of choice. All that ever breaks down here is the rubber parts, which just crumble and don't cause as much of a headach as salt conditioned ones lol
