After months of trying to sell my Mazda 3 to get out of the financing, I finally got it sold.
It took 3 weeks for the guy to finally make decision, but it paid off. Literally.
A few weeks ago, this guy came into our dealership and his Cavalier overheated and pissed coolant all over the parking lot. I helped him get it all cleaned up and everything, and then showed him a few cars on the lot.
After not really finding anything that peaked his interest, I pointed out my Mazda as a private sale. He seemed interested and said he'd call me to arrange a viewing after work hours.
About a week went by and he replied ot my kijiji ad for the car and we set up a viewing last weekend. He came and looked at it with his father (the guy that bought my car is also in his late 30s) and they both liked it and said he'd get back to me.
Today at work, I get a phone call telling me he's decided to buy the car and pay my full buyout amount.
He came in with a bank draft for $10 350, left with a bill of sale and insurance slip and then met up with me after work to take delivery of the car and drive it home.
I really liked that car, and I will miss it, but I definetly will not miss the extra $400/mo in my pocket now.
No more car payments, and the Accord is only costing me $33/mo for insurance.
Toodaloo Mazda 3. You were awesome, but it sucks being broke all the time.
