    does this sound right?

I took my 90 ex to are scrap yard to go on the scales. car was 2860 with me in it. there was less than a 1/4 tank of gas. only thing in the car is the two front seats and the two back seat parts. all the rest is gone. how much should it be at?

No ac, no ps,no cc.no door pan. no radio no speakers

That's about the curb weight for the car normally... minus some weight (was ALL the AC gone... compressor, evaporator, etc?)

    How much do you weigh?

sounds about right IMO.. all the stuff you said is decently heavy, but when talking about how much weight it sheds from the car, its not really THAT much..

        basic math my friend

'90 EX sedan = 2,923 lbs with all fluids topped

2,923 + [how much you weigh] - 2,860 = how much weight you removed from the car

So, for example, if you weight 180 lbs, you have removed 243 lbs from the car

250-ish lbs is quite a bit of weight to remove, though.
Since it was being weighed for scrap, there's a good chance that they shaved some off of that total. Think about it... they have to compensate for the weight of fabrics, plastics, rubber, and fluids... things that aren't being used for scrap metal. They're not going to pay you for 250lbs of non-metal!

                Ah, ok.

Still, I wouldn't doubt if their scales are offset to compensate for non-metal contents.
