im guessing thats what the brown circle thing is on the side of the switch. Pretty sure there is a LED in there

Yes, there are two LEDs in it. One is for the icon illumination and the other is for the indicator light telling you if it's on or not. 5-wires means it's essentially the same exact part as the '98-'99 CL switches. I have a small mountain of those at home.
