I kind of feel that maybe there should be a limit of days a newperson has to be on here before posting. Anyone else feel the same? Maybe like a 3, 5, or 7 day waiting period? I think it may help out with the people who don't search and just ask for someone to fly the little airplane spoon into their mouth.

you only have 97 post on this site. your new yourself and just joined this month.
there should be a ban on making threads like this
there's a reason why mods lock threads of repeated questions. because every question that comes thru here, there's a 95-99% chance that it's already been asked. within a few post, the question is answered and a link posted to another thread where the same was asked and the thread closed.

Since you bring it up my previous name was VBaccord24. I got rid of the email and forgot my password since I had sold my CB. Now that I bought another I had to create a new name. Don't be so quick to judge. Just because I have 97 posts means nothing. I search and read.Originally posted by Shadow1 View Postyou only have 97 post on this site. your new yourself and just joined this month.

well when i see a new guy complaining about other new people, thats the 1st thought i see come to mind.Originally posted by BurtonRiderT6 View PostSince you bring it up my previous name was VBaccord24. mods are here for a reason. as i stated above, when a thread is made thats already been gone over, it gets closed and/or deleted. 99% of the time, one of the mods or another member post a link to one or several threads of the same topic. then its closed. we abhor telling new people to "search". the function doesnt work too well some times. we know that. so we use some kind of judgement before we call someone an idiot for not looking.
a question is asked in a thread, we help out by posting up info and links regarding that topic. we're not gonna just up and tell someone "SEARCH".
and post count does mean something when those post are knowledgeable, gibberish, or asking the same questions of stuff thats been gone over before, or even just repeating something someone has said. mods go thru these post to see if what your posting is one of the above. if its one of those things where its just plain stupid or one were or gibberish, your post count goes down. and from your previous threads on your last name, only 3 possibly 4 of the threads you made we're of actual use. others have been discussed already.

I think putting a wait on the ability to post may discourage great potential enthusiasts for joining or sticking around. I realize in my short time here, I have seen more worthless noobs then I can count, but there has to be a few that were good and they might not have stuck around if you put restrictions on posting.
I think the way the rules are now, are "Good to go""There is nothing wrong with you that an expensive operation cannot prolong."

thats a reason i dont go on v6performance.net. well one of the reasons. 10 you have to post in different threads til your post count gets to 10-20. which is stupid.
2) because the freakin site loads slowly because of all the ads they have on it. even with fast internet, it takes like 20 seconds for page to load.

Exactly, no one said you HAD to respond to noobs.Originally posted by 2.2litrebeater View PostSo then you're just going to have to wait 3 days to make the airplane sounds. If it bothers you so much I don't see whats so hard about ignoring them. Noobs are going to be noobs no matter what forum or how long they wait."There is nothing wrong with you that an expensive operation cannot prolong."

You're right I don't HAVE to, but when they post something and I search and within 2 minutes find what they are looking for then you are creating more crap to look through next time someone searches. Not to mention the guys that come in with their tough guy attitudes. I tell them to search then give them a link of what I found when I searched for them.
If you give them a timeline and they truly want to be a part then they will probably search for the first 3 days trying to find an answer. Just letting anyone come on here to post nonsense or try to stir stuff up to get a rise out of someone isn't good. Epecially when they begin throwing all sorts of insults around.
What is the definition of a true enthusiast? I would think it would involve a lot of reading to learn the true potential of the vehicle they so desire. Not to mention I don't think there is a better site you could go to to find info on CB7's.
I just don't think a small waiting period would be that bad.
