I have been living in Ohio all of my life, what's it feel like to be in an earthquake?

I missed the one we had last year that originated in VA. It was felt even in my area, in NJ... to the point where an old building right in the center of my town was damaged to the point of being fenced off as a safety hazard.

I didn't feel a thing, as I was driving when it happened

You ever been on a cruise ship and then when you went on land you cannot walk straight because you still have sea legs? Sort of like but exponentially worse because the ground is moving and it is hard to not start jiggling like a noodle.
I have been through several, the biggest I can remember was a 6.something back in 2001, I literally watched a road do a rolling wave away from me, it was the craziest thing I have ever seen in person.

Ya they are nuts, it is like you are hella dizzy, but completely clear headed. You can see straight but you cannot stop moving and everything around you is moving. It has to be one of the weirdest thing, it would be fun if you could do it voluntarily, but you never know when one will hit and when it does, it never seems at the right time so it is not fun at all.

We felt it here in the mountains of NC. A friend of mine lives in Canada, near the Michigan line and he felt the Virginia quake.

It was off the coast of Baja California.... so Mexico. You probably had a better chance at feeling the one off of the oregon coast yesterday that was 5.9.

There has been 6 pretty decent sized quakes in the last 2 days. The bigger quake usually spawns more around the world. Kind of neat to keep track of, lol
