    The Elder Scrolls Online

i must say its about time! i am so freaking excited! i have been wanting this to come out since skyrim came out. i think the idea of combining all the elder scrolls games into one MMORPG powered by the Creation Engine is the best thing ever! Thanks Bethesda!

I really wanted to see a multi-player Elder Scrolls. Now with that said I did not want to see an Elder Scrolls MMO. I would have loved to have been able to play with a friend or two in Skyrim but not thousands if not millions of people and be at the mercy of a server. As much as I have been a fan of Elder Scrolls over the years Skyrim will likely be the end of the line for me.

I wonder if this is the game my cousin said he was working on but couldn't tell me more about due to liability reasons

he said it was an oblivion like game would be mmorpg based.

he works at some gaming company that i believe works with bethesda gaming ( bethesday gaming is located not far from my house.

Its been like 2 years since i talked with him about it.

I remember not too long ago, someone made a mod for the PC version of Skyrim so to allow people to play online with one another. I didn't try it out BC it was still in beta form and was buggy but at least you didn't have to pay a monthly subscription fee.

Nice! I wish the game had been made like Borderlands 2 with the ability to play on-line with friends or solo.

I almost don't like the idea. The Elder Scrolls series kept the offline, one-player free-roaming 1st person RPG alive... pretty much single handedly. Making it an MMORPG just pits it up against WoW and all the other big ones.

Even though I've never been able to focus on any of the Elder Scrolls games, I still hope they continue to make the traditional ones. Unless Skyrim wrapped it all up...
