    diy shift light?

ive searched the forum and didnt come up with anything.

i was wondering if you could make a diy shift light in replace of the srs light. If you replace the steering wheel with an aftermarket one the light is going to be on anyways.

just a cool diy i thought of..if possible, please make a thread!

srs could stand for Shift Right Stupid. lol

Would be pretty easy, just take a programmable shift light and take out the bulb. Then run wires from the shift light to the srs bulb.

I've pondered it before, but rather making the tach needle light up blue, turn green thru vtec, then flash red when its time to shift.

My CEL is set up as my shift light right now.

Fresh out of the noob forum, and you're already posting "on topic" questions in the Off Topic section? Son, I am disappoint.

Be very careful when wiring it up and make sure its protected mine got exposed overtime and the car almost caught fire because of it.

My CEL shift light didn't require any special wiring. It was programmable via Uberdata.

well i dint want to post a request write up in the diy section.
i guess it could have gone in the tech forum or the appearance forum. if you want to move it you can move it.

anyways thanks for the valuable input. if anyone feels the urge to post a FULL write up in the diy section that would be a great help to me.
