    Final Fantasy 7 for the PS3?

    http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/fina...vii/index.html

    Well actually no. It's a technical demo for the PS3, to give some starting place of the kind of graphics we might be seeing. They have no intention of remaking FF7 for the PS3, although if they did I'd buy a copy. Hell, I'd buy 2. And seeing revamped demos for the greatest game of all time makes me salivate.

    Holy shit, i just got pwned!

    We should start a petion to Square/Enix to re-make it. For the love of god, why do they tease us?

      they should remake it, twist the story a little so it's not repetitive.

            Dude I have it and I didnt even get past the first disk..after 30 hours of playtime and then for some odd reason my saved file corrupted.

            FF7 was and is probably one of the best RPGs to come out of Square at the time..I didn't see all the hype about it then but now I do.

                  Very impressed by the specs; even more impressed with the projects in the works which include Playstation's original launch title, Warhawk. Others are:

                  * Clown Combat - Eagle Claw
                  * Condemned - Sega
                  * Devil May Cry - Project by Capcom
                  * Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Bethesda
                  * Gran Turismo 5 - Polyphony Digital
                  * Grand Theft Auto (PS3 Project) - Rockstar North
                  * Heavenly Sword - Just Add Monsters
                  * Need for Speed (New Generation Consoles Project) - Electronic Arts
                  * S.T.A.L.K.E.R - THQ

                    Aside from FFVII which would even sway me to get a ps3, I'm a die hard xbox fan. I know both systems are suppose to be kick ass, but truth be told, will the 360 beat out ps3 in graphics and speed much like xbox has done to ps2?

                    PS2 may have sold almost 20% more units than XBOX, this new war between systems appears will finally separate the men from the boys, so to speak. I am curious of a side by side comparison of the two systems processing units, and also which gameplay looks more realistic. I have only seen the technical demos for ps3, and yah they look like typical ps2 stuff. However, if those images and video are ACTUAL gameplay, the 360 is going to get it's ass beat, mark my words. However, I am sure Bill Gates, billionare-philanthropist will certainly pack a nasty punch, especially with halo 3 launching @ ps3's launch (man he's a dick, lol). just my .02.

                      The N64 was actually a more powerful machine than the Playstation, but the N64 was a total flop in comparison.

                      Anyway, to bring Nintendo into the picture... Square/Enix has FINALLY made their peace with Nintendo, and they're releasing games on for them as well. I haven't heard any Microsoft talk until now, but I can definitely see some new S/E games being made for whatever Nintendo and Sony have to offer us in the future.

                      BTW, my roommate left early this morning to go to LA. He'll be attending E3 He's all excited about seeing the PS3 and meeting Richard Dean Anderson

                        Word from the geek is that the PS3’s CPU is about three times faster than the Xbox 360’s CPU. While this seems like a clear cut victory for Sony, it does little to end the constant debate about which system will be able to provide better games. The problem with Sony’s super-fast CPU is that not all of its power may actually be usable in games. Bottom line: There could be a lot of extraneous horsepower under the PS3’s hood that’s mainly for show, not actual gaming.
                        Ok, me copying and pasting is done for now. Anyhow they seem pretty similiar to me, the microsoft processor has 3 cores, I don't know about the PS3, but of course comparing the systems like that is just fodder for the fools. Whats important is how fun the games are. So I'll try not to compare until we are all playing games on them...

                          Great job on getting the specs, for the most part I can see that these two consoles are neck and neck. I really do think it's going to come down to games being offered to utilize the potential of the gpu's. However, sony does usually come short graphics wise to xbox IMO. However, I wouldn't be surprised it this underdog revolution, by nintendo does some damage. It's supposedly going to be 3X bigger than a dvd case. Also, the gameboy micro is coming out this year, hot graphics and will kick psp's ass. It's the size of a deck of cards. I need to get some overtime in for this shit.

                            I just saw the design for the nintendo earlier tonight, and I gotta say it's the best looking of all of them. I really cheer for the nintendo, I just don't want them to be pushed out of the video game console business. Sega fell on their face, but I didn't love the genesis that much. Can you imagine the future of the video game business without nintendo :sad:

                              I would hate to get hopes up if it doesn't happen, but this appeared before me this morning.

                              BTW, the release of FF7:AC on dvd is close at hand (for those following it)
