    Midas Alignment CRAP!

Well, today I took my car to Midas to get an alignment after I was quote 40 bucks for the front two wheel alignment from them couple weeks ago. I went to the Midas that quoted me 40 bucks, But they wouldn't do it because my car was drop low. I then went to a different Midas and see if they could get my car up and they say "no problem". I signed the form and give them my key. They say there might be addition charge. I asked them what for. They say they have to bring the car up first. After they did, they went right on ahead and align it. They did not tell me that they were going to charge me for getting a lower car up the rack and doing some more adjustment. I was thinking, so I ask them how much it's gonna cost. They then told me that alignment was 69.99 plus 94 something for more adjusting, labor, and getting my lower car up there and hooking it up. I was like WHAT! "The other midas told me it was only 40 bucks." Then he called the other Midas and they say it was 69.99. WTF! They say they never have an alignment for 40 bucks ever. Check the link. Dude even says Midas was having an alignment for 39.95 http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=115849 I told them to stop what they were doing and tighting the tie rod. Now they wanted me to pay 40 bucks for getting the car up. I refuse to pay them. They wanted me to call all the other shop include Midas to and ask for a quote. He did call some and say they quote him at 69.99. I told them that, that wasn't my point. I'm kept telling them that two Midas shop quote me at 40 bucks that's why I brought it to Midas. Anyway I ask to talk to someone above him, but he say he is teh one that run all the shop in the district. BTW he's a supervisor. Isn't there someone else above him? We then agreed to pay only 20 bucks. FUCK Midas. Anyone have any recommendation to an alignment shop here in Minnesota to do two front wheel at 40-60 bucks

Take your car to an *alignment specialist* shop ..they've prolly got the best in computers
and should be able to do *any* kina alignment .. lowered or not ..

Everyone reading this .. never, and I mean never, take your nice *modified* cars to a
Midas shop .. for crying outloud .. my own wife once took her car to them for a
simple tune up, and an oil change .. and her car wasn't even modified .. but they still managed
to fawk it up .. seriously .. If we spend so much on wheels, rims, camber kits, and the like ..

Why oh why, under God's Beautiful Heaven, wouldn't we just pay the xtra for an alignment
      from a specialist ..

      A Hui Hou !!!

        Ntb

I took mine to NTB. For $89.99 they were able to align my car with no problem at all. Its dropped 2 inches at that. Also, I can take the car for a FREE alignment upto 1 yr. no matter what. It was part of the special I payed for. Not bad for $89.99. I think its bullshit that shops can't align a lowered car. They just don't want to take the extra time. Midas sucks ass. Check out NTB (National Tire and Battery)

Never go to Midas at all. They have high markups on parts and do the quoted job in less time, but get paid for the full work time. Try Sears.
Be carefull with Midas, they have tricky marketing habits to get you in the door for additional work.

Damn, sorry to hear what happened to you. Check with the Tire's Plus across from Maplewood Mall. I called around town and found that they will do an alignment on lowered cars. So I had my car aligned there. Oh, and my car was lowered 2.50 inches. Best of luck though.

                  Midas sucks.

I know of only one place near me that will align my car. My honda dealer in Auburn MA. Manchester Honda wont do it, none of the local shops will. Only them. And its only around 65 dollars.

Jerking you around with the price is ridiculous.

Acc1, how much did you pay? BTW the Midas that gave me all the crap, was right next to the Tire Plus you're talking about. The Midas guy say if I can find some invoice or proof that Midas had done alignment for 40 bucks then I can get my 20 dollar back. I'm not letting Midas keep my money at all.

i should suggest that my friends shop get an alignment rack when they move . . . they would get sooooo much business cuz noone around here will deal with lowered cars
