It's not their fault, it's yours. You speed, you get caught.. simple as that. Hopefully you learn from this mistake.Adam - Retired OG member from '03

i got a 92/70 in douglasville, I20...and from what i hear you shouldnt speed in douglasville...he was under a bridge so i always slow down for bridge overpasses now cause they like to hide under there...just a heads up.Originally posted by fizzbob7 i think the "jdm everything" craze is funny........it's the same thing, a fad.......and an overpriced one at that

I think i've told a few people about this... anyways. In FL and im sure other places, you can get your learners permit when you are 15, and drive with an adult.
Well my fam. drove up to Michigan, and on the way back, I was driving through GA. Everyone else was pretty much sleeping/not paying attention, and I was doing about 85 since the speed limit was 70. Well, it quickly dropped into a construction zone of 55mph, and speeding fines doubled obviously. We were coming up to a hill, and I let off the gas to slow down. On the other side of the hill in the median were two GSP in the median. Just as I got probably into the radar range, a black tacoma pickup went by me at probably 90... needless to say he saved my ass big time
They flew out and pulled him over, and I went on my way. This was when I was on my learners permit.. had I gotten ticketed, im sure I wouldnt have been able to drive until i was 18 or older
but I just blame it on my mom, she always told me to drive faster when I would drive.
But just be careful. When I am on highways, I typically do 90ish as long as traffic allows. (how the hell else could I have made it from 2 hours north of detroit to SW florida; 1400 miles, in only 19.5 hours straight...thats from leaving the school parking lot to getting to my driveway including my gas/food stops and going about an hour out of my way in Ohio to install a headlight
) You just have to know where they hide out, and be careful. When they do end up getting you, just gotta take it as a lesson and speed more carefully.

We're lucky here in texas. Cops can't hide when radaring. They have to be in plain site otherwise the ticket can be thrown out.

Damn, must be nice... another little tip, always watch the cars ahead of you. If you see brake lights.. they probably see a cop, too late for them, but you should be able to adjust your speed accordinglyOriginally posted by avendiWe're lucky here in texas. Congratulations. That sounds expensive. I'm surprised they didn't haul you off to the county clink and impound your vehicle.Originally posted by AccordTypeR05i got caught doing 94 in a 70 by Georgia State Patrol
On the contrary, they can hide on the side of the road during the day as they please, but at night they must have at least their parking lights on to be able to nail you. They don't have to be directly on the road either. As long as they can get an accurate read on you from their radar/laser they can cite you. That also includes bouncing their radar off of immovable objects such as billboards, buildings, trees, etc, to get your speed (please note this usually only works if your car is the only target car on the road).Originally posted by avendiWe're lucky here in texas. On a side note, tickets in western Nebraska are half the cost of a ticket in the Dallas TX area. For that, NE =
