American History

it seems as the semester goes on and the more i learn about history...the more and mroe i become a rascist.
we have like one African American in my class and he doesnt speak at all because we are around the early centuries where slavery was not banned yet.

idk, the more and more i read about it, the more some ehtnicites seem inferior. i keep catching myself mumbling profanities and racist words at people.

this class is the devil.

Wed3k; if anything reading American history should inform you how many, many groups of people have been treated poorly throughout history, especially the past 150 years.
History should show you how things have been, and you can compare them to what is happening in the world around you now. Try to look at it as "wow, these bad things happened to these people, what can *I* do to make sure it never happens again? And what can I do to help heal those hard feelings?".

lol Tagalog... Got lots of Filipinos over here... love the food and stuff. Yeah, on the issue of racism and the exploitation of other countries... that's why sometimes America really suxs and sometimes we really deserve all those hateful comments you see all over the news. But its still our home, and home is what you make of it. Sides, at least you have the freedom to say so, besides, if you went to any other country and said how bad it was outloud, you'd most likely get shot or something like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that not all countries are like that but they do similar things.

i know how u feel weed. I get more upset about vietnam not being talked about history books than anything. I can't get really get mad at slavery cuz it goes way back to ancient egypt shit. and besides we as African American sold ourselves into slavery, but yeah lets not go there. Lets educate ourselves so that history never repeats itself as it has in the past.
