heres what happend internet explorer wanted me to do an upgrade a few days ago...
so i said fine bah and accepted.. the only differences i noticed is some cool ass background behind the buttons like winter or some shit and A SHITLOAD OF POP-UPS... THEY NEVER GO AWAY.. AGUUUGGHH TWO JUST CAME UP NOW..
how the fuck do i turn off the pop ups.. ??????

u got some spyware there man... run ad-aware or spybot from download.com

ytea definitely get the two ad prgrams.. i currently run ad aware and spybot... i also choose not to run shitty internet explorer as it is the source of most spyware... I use Mozilla Firebird.. Its like a version of netscape.. If u insist on running IE, then i would reccomend that you get the google toolbar from www.google.com ... it helps prevent a good number of popups

get pop up stopper pro from kazaa, its the shit, i havent had a pop up yet, and ive had it for about 6 months.

pop-up stoppers is like painting over rust, it'll mask it but it doesnt make it go away. use a spyware remover.

Spybot: Search and Destroy without out a doubt... Adaware isn't really all that useful. Spybot will take care of most things.

The Google toolbar is crap, and will be seen as spyware itself (wich it is).

If you have a reasonably fast computer, then I would suggest getting Avant Browser. It has an integrated popup blocker (I never see popups). It also has a tab feature (kinda like AOL's browser, if you ever used that.) You can have like 30 pages open, and not clutter up your taskbar with tons of windows.

oops i messed up, run spybot, and then get kazaa lite, and use kazaa lite to download pop up stopper pro.

being a "n00b" is independent of what program you use to download music. kazaa lite is definitely not the same as kazaa. so next time you decide to make that sort of statement do some research to figure out that kazaa lite is kazaa with the spyware removed, and with other added features that are actually beneficial. and personally, i use soulseek to download the bulk of things i get, its just that its a little easier to get the program i was talking about with kazaa lite than it is with soulseek, as soulseek doesnt let you distinguish between what sort of file you are looking for. no virus, and sure its cheap, its fucking free.

I don't need to do any research. It's still basically the same program. I have known plenty of people who used it. It's crap. There are plenty of people on Kazaa who share viruses just because they know so many people use it that know absolutely nothing about computers. I don't like the general set up of it anyway. On top of that you can never get what you are looking for on Kazaa because again people think it is funny to be jerks and rename files. The quality of anything on Kazaa is crap... you'll rarely find any real good vcd/svcd releases. Besides that Kazaa has become a bit too popular for a high profile downloader like me to be on it since people like the RIAA and god knows who else are on there checking people out. I don't like Kazaa ... say what you want to say but it is crap and I know what I'm talking about.

Hey man Im ur man for comp shit... I know just about everything Kazzaa has ALOT also theres alot on like toolbars that dl you should dl ad aware on Kazzaa and get the PRO edition

im sooo sorry, i didnt realize i was talking to a "high profile" downloader here. im such a n00b.
and i wasnt advocating using it for downloading everything, i even said that i thought soulseek was better for all other things, i was just advocating getting this one program called pop up stopper pro from kazaa lite, because from my experience, it was easier to get from kazaa lite than it was from soulseek.
i never said anything about movies or anything else, and i will agree that it does suck for that stuff and for games and often times for songs even, as file renaming on there sucks balls. its so hard to get good porn when people rename "guys giving each othre anal" to "hot brunette teen"!
