ran into a jdm junkyard thing

Well heres the story, I was cruising on 240sx Forums cuz I kinda wanna get a S13 now, with a sr20det swap, and I was goin through the group buys, and I ran into this JDm distributor here in Cnada where I live, except in Quebec, which is right next to my province, Ontario. Anyway they have some good prices on h22's so I thought some of you guys might wanna check it out, you can even call and see what else they got. They are called Osaka Motors I dunno if you already heard of em, but heres the wbesite: http://www.osakajdmmotors.com

I no they were selling sr20det's for $1500 US in the group buys, th h22's are about 1900US........check it out

Osaka is total crap... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!

I looked at them for my H22A swap. They are incredibly unprofessional... They sell bad motors to people (really bad, like, hole in the block, broken cam gear bad). I asked them about their reputation, which was supposedly the result of a former employee, and they basically said:

we do not sell bad motors we only sell good motors if you dont trust us then you can buy from someone else at a higher price we ship lots of motors all around canada and the us so we dont need your business...

Yes, even the lack of punctuation was there

Search on HS, H-T, or HHU for them and you'll get thread after thread of crap. If you know what you're looking at, you MIGHT be able to go to their warehouse and get something good, but I'd steer clear.

      Re: H22A Question

we sell like 100-150swaps per month to the states why because we have the lowest prices ever online in the history of this business
so many companies online in US they are losing their customers and their business so they dont have any other choice except to complain and try to disrupt our name on the internet and the quality of engines that we supply no one can do that because we buy first hand and we have our own warehouses in japan this is what i have to say
if you want to order or dont even want to order its ok with us

      Ok, thanks!
I have been hearing many bad things about your company, and I am feeling quite uneasy about ordering. I have heard many complaints about damaged engines, unreasonable delivery times, and lack of communication regarding problems.
I noticed that you haven't answered my questions about delivery time, or what you actually have in stock (I have asked about these things in my last 2 emails to you). I am trying to get an idea when I can have my motor installed. I would like to do business with you, but not if I don't feel completely comfortable first!

      Thanks again,
      Mike

I'm sure they sell some decent stuff, since they wouldn't be in business if they sold all broken stuff... still, it's too much of a gamble for my taste.

kings_blend, if you can go to their warehouse and check out what you want to buy (be sure you write down serial numbers too... They've been known to switch on people) then you might be ok. Definitely not good for people who don't have that option.

Hell, you should start a little side business... Have people tell you what they need, and if Osaka has it, go check it out and buy it for them. Mark it up a little (not too much, but enough for your time) and sell it to them.
