    Logos

ok this is for personal reason. being a up coming graphic designer i need a personal logo. now i narrowed it down to these two. Also please include why you picked it and what it "says" to you. thanks

the first one is more of a "my background" stlye
the second one is more of "my interests" style

    Honestly.

I'm in my last semester as and undergrad for graphic design.
Based off those 2 logos, if I was a client, I wouldn't hire you.

What kind of stuff will you be doing as a designer?

What program did you use to create those?

    What fonts are you using?

It looks like you went online, downloaded some 'cool' fonts and made some logos in photoshop.

Read this: Element of typographic Style: Robert Bringhurst

I'm not trying to be a dick [really], but, it looks like someone with no design sense whipped those together in 10 minutes.

If you want anymore advice/criticism, just shoot some stuff my way.

i did, those are starting points. i was just bored and was playing in PS. but yes i would go along those lines. umm i am not sure what fonts but i could look it up. i am in love with PS but i will be good in everything from Adobe basiclly. But i would really like to do photo retouching or stuff like that b/c i love PS i am not a fan of indesign or illustrator much.

im glad the previous poster was frank. I just want to give you constructive criticism, 3rd year graphic design. Those logos dont really say what you are or distinguish you from others, kinda bland and not professional res. i guess its a start though, if i had to pick it would be the 2nd, just go back to the drawing board and keep up the work...also really focus on the logo, no text. typesetting is a whole other bag.
