    Bands...Pink Floyd...

I dunno im just thinking, when growing up,etc, coming of age, for me, amd possibly most of us, there was one band that just really caught your eye, something completely different and unexplainable; it was the band that just 'did' it for you, a band or group of musicians working together that no other can make you feel or bring out that same emotion inside. I guess the one that was always there for you, not a fad or a moment. It was the cds/records/tapes that you bought and kept close, that meant something, made the hair stand up, gave you the shivers time and time again, sincere, genuine, and relative. Anyone else feel the same about a particular group?

Led Zeppelin and Queen (nice combo, eh?) I listened to all thru middle and high school. I still have a vinyl Led Zeppelin 1 in my collection somewhere, as well as an Arthur Feidler Boston Pops album I have around that can make the walls rattle.

If you're really into Pink Floyd, tell me I'm not crazy... there are too many to pick, but one of my MANY personal favorites is Shine on you Crazy Diamond Parts VI-IX...it just builds and builds and then breaks at right about six minutes...ahh fucking incredible. Gonna go roll up and throw that shit on right now

Floyd never did it for me... the music is good, but I think it was the fans that turned me off not you guys, but the people I knew that were Floyd fans while I was growing up.

For me, it was Metallica for the first few years, then it went to Amorphis. Now, I would have to say Billy Joel and the Descendents.
