hi anybody lost a phone with nextel before? Well last night when i was coming home from work i lost my i830. I tried calling my phone numerous time and also had someone 2 way it.. but it came out to be the person turned it off or took the sim card out..


Now what do i do with nextel? i have no insurance on the phone.. if i go to nextel and cancel my plan they will charge me th ETF of 200.00 right? i wish they just let my account sit for awhile so i can save up money for a new phone..

i wanna be able to get the same number and DC if possible..because alot of people has it and it will be a hassle to go back and track those people down to give them my new number and walkie talkie... thanks

Call them report it stolen. No insurance means you will need to buy a new phone. I just broke mine so i bought an i870. Its nice. If you have about 360 bucks laying around upgrade. If you need a quick cheap replacement, pick up a Nascar phone.

Also, they have a program for people who did not have insurance on their nextels. You can buy the same phone back for a discount. Call them ASAP.

damn so will they keep my acct activate for a while? or i'll be forces to pay ETF and than sign up again and repeat the process?

I have the same everything. However, I had my old sim card. You will need a new one. While they can give you the same number, you will not have your old phone numbers because they are stored to sim.
