yO this video really got me heated ..a cop shoots an unarmed Iraqi vet...1) i hate cops...and 2) im an iraqi vet myself..this is some bullshit look the cop tells him to get up..and he says he is getting up...then bam..*** ass cop shoots him in the back ..chest and legs..for what..following your orders..oh you thought you were gonna get away with this killing bitch..i hope they lock your bitch ass up.!

There's justice for you. The officer gets to take days off and still gets paid, and he has not been charged with any crime, even tho the tape clearly shows it.

DO NOT GET ME STARTED ABOUT THIS THREAD!
I've spent the last 2 days arguing about this over on Officer.com (a police forum) and the general idea over there is "the officer is innocent because we dont' know all the facts".
I've posted asking the officers is they arent perhaps biased because they are themselves LEO, and I was basically berated (yelled at, abused) because of this SIMPLE QUESTION!!

Just like the Rodney King videos, we don't know what happened before the camera started rolling and we don't know what happened after it stopped.

Maybe before the guy was put on the ground he said he had a gun and was going to kill the officer. We just don't know.
Plus the lighting, sound, and everything about the video is of such poor quality it's hard to tell who said what. I agree with Seven- let the department's IA deal with it.
As for Zipperhead's comments: Many LEO's have served in the military before becoming a cop. I'm one of them. And your comments were out of line.

This really is a crappy video. But from the looks of it, it appears that guy doesn't just get up, he lunges up and at the officer and the officer is back pedaling away from him as he is shooting.

I dont like hypocrites.....

I honestly think Cops is another word for hypocrites/racists. I know that there are some (very few) cops that are honest and do the right thing, but all others are just power abusers. They just give the law a very bad name. This incident has just gave me another reason to not trust the cops even more. I know I wasnt there to see what actually happened and I shouldnt make any assumptions.....BUT, i still think that was VERY wrong. That cop is in my book. All I know is.....someone is going to be rejected at the gates of heaven.....

i don't think all cops are shady but i had a drunk cop, in a bar, try to start a fight with me (and a bunch of my Marines)...when i didn't back down, he flashed his badge and called on-duty cops in to have us arrested...no shit. one of the cops that came was in kandahar with me...it was pretty funny except for being cuffed for an hour (i have a bad shoulder from that deployment) so my shoulder was killing me. either way, if there's no other evidence to back up any claimed misconduct prior to what we saw, i would think dollar signs are popping up in the air force guy's head...but that's just an uneducated layman assumption.
