pulling cars

i seen a car with a long bar on the back of it and it was hooked up to another car and it was pulling it. does any body know what it is. because the rope and chain thing is getting old. or any other safer way to pull a car. because trailers are expensive as hell.

I usually call that thing a tow bar.

It was probably a tow bar. Like they use for pulling a car behind an RV.

"yeah"! a tow bar......... it beats a rope and a driver in the car thats being towed.......... the bar comes with two lights to put on top of the exrta car to warn others that theres a car being towed ..........You see it alot at auctions

yeah one off my friends said somthing about that. Thats what they use 4 rv's? but it just did not sound right but than again i never seen a car pulling a car with a tow bar.
