oh dude ok make a dang quesadilla

go to the store and get jumbo sized tortillas.

    get some cream of chicken

get some like bonless chicken breasts or something like that

cook the chicken, chop it in into small peices

then put the cream of chicken in a pot and add the cut up chicken to that. cook that and stir and stuff till its warm and looks cooked

then put that on one of the tortillas, add salsa and grated cheese

put a second tortilla on top of that, grate more cheese and put it on the top. then put that in the oven till it browns.

    see how that comes out

^^^that came from my head if u couldnt already tell

    this sites pretty good too

      WErd.

not really, it is more "soupy" than a normal quesadilla but it gets less soupy when u cook it, and add chicken to it, just dont use too much, make it kinda 40/60, cream to chicken

those quesadillas dont have anything mexican about them.

everyone thinks ground beef tacos are mexican-wrong they are american, real tacos have real beef and pork none of this ground up shit..

everyone makes these damn enchiladas in the stupid oven, wrong those arent mexican, real mexican ones are fried in a special sauce.

everyone is ruining the real mexican food. /rant

if you want a real mexican recipe, go make some tamales, posole, birria, menudo(i that that shit tho)

tamales is not hard to make, go get the masa at some mexican convinence store, cook the meat, make some sauce, now you mix the sauce and meat, get the dried corn leaf, spread the masa on it, put meat in it, roll it up, and now just steam it. takes about 30-45 minutes to cook a dozen.

very finely shredded steak, seasoned with lime, LOTS of salt, onions, peppers, some refried beans, guacamole y arroz on the side.

couple soft flour tortillas steamed, and you're golden

I'm not even Mexicano, but a mix of other Latino races and I totally agree man. The funny thing is, the "Americanized - Mexican" dishes are what typically sell....people are too weary or lame to try "new" things. I however am not a picky eater by any means...

Some advice from a real Mexican (yay for Jose, HEHE)! All that sounds good but I don't know if he wants to get THAT in-depth and not sure if his classmates would like anything that "authentic." Can you imagine them eating menudo? LMAO! I haven't had possole in ages, one of my girl friends from college, her mom makes some killer possole! (She lives in Central WA/Columbia Basin... go figure, huh?! HEHE)

YUM-oh! Was recently in AZ and talk about good, cheap, fast, auththentic Mexican food!

                              But, here's my $0.02....

I was thinking, why don't you stop by your local international market (or else I'm sure your closest chain supermarket has an international foods aisle) and look for some basic carne asada marinade. Then, pick-up some beef (ask the butcher for the thin carne asada style slices, which shouldn't cost too much), marinate it, and then broil or grill it up! You can also look for some of that tomato and chicken bullion powder to make some mexican rice (the closest thing to authentic instant stuff is Knorr "Caldo de Tomate con Sabor de Pollo," it's in a bottle with a yellow label w/ red writing and red lid). If your bottle doesn't come with simple Mexican Rice instructions then google it. You can add peppers, tomatoes, onions, etc if you wanna get creative. But, it's pretty straight forward and I think it may be authentic enough to win you some cool points but not be too foreign that your classmates may not want to try some. And besides, what man doesn't like grilling or broiling up some meat, right?! HEHE
