Well Toyota already races in the truck series, I don't personaly see a problem with it.. I just wish there would be a more "stock" stock car racing though.
    Hi, I'm Shippo and I have a problem. I keep buying CB7's.

yead i read that chevy ford and dodge are like pissed or whatever, cause toyota has way more money on hand to invest into it and they can easily outdo them in engineering.

at least they know they suck,. also toyota's like the only one not facing bankruptcy

Toyota may be Japanese owned, but they run a lot of operations in the US, and employ a hell of a lot of people. I know there is a Camry plant in Georgetown, KY and they might have a truck plant somewhere else. I see no reason as to not let them into NASCAR.

I don't think they will try to run 4 bangers.

The cars will be V8s like all the other cars and will sound, and look like all the other ones, except the front grille willb e painted different, so will the painted on headlights and tail lights.

And they will definately not have any neons, or large wings on them.

i think is good for imports to do this. but i really think that its bull shit. toyota doesnt even make a v8 for the camry or a 2dr version. i was talking to my uncle about car companies in nascar(he hates ford), anyways ford always used a 2dr car that they had for nascar. now they are using the taurus which isnt even a 2dr.its the same concept for both are bull shit. they should rather try another car or quit.

This is way old news. They have been planning this for like 3 years already.

There's nothing "stock" about "stock" car racing. Personally, I think running "stockish" cars would make for much more exciting races...LMAO @ everyone trying to keep their cars together...blown radiator/head gasket city!!!!!

Its kinda what I like about the WRC, they are fast cars but when it comes down to it with enough time and money I could do the same to any model of car they run.

I'd personaly love to see nascar re-setup with a stock and a super-stock class (super being the current way nascar is and stock being basicly really powerful street cars with out major modding like FWD to RWD conversions)

                        Toyota Solara (aka Camry Coupe)
They do have a V8, they use it in their Lexus line-up.

Yeah it would be the SC400's powerplant. To me, its not much of a big deal. Toyota has been in CART racing for a while...(I could be dead wrong on the division, but thats the first thing that came to mind...you know those race trucks )
