Damn dude, sorry to hear that. Yeah, state troopers are assholes here in VA. When I was driving my brothers cb7 back from Maryland the day he bought it, his muffler fell off on the way back, and we were using tags from another car and there was no VA inspection (duh), and the fucker almost took me to jail the dumass, I kept on trying to explain that we had just bought it, and was showing him the damn bill of sale and signed and dated title, but he was a jackass and was acting all like "you crazy ass kid, don't get smart with me..." What a jackass.

Regardless of how much State Troopers suck, you should take that one to court, tell them something about the muffler idk, say it was faulty and it has been fixed and tell them you've removed the tint, it might work, often times they waive stuff like that if you are well presented and convincing. Either way, I bet you could at least lessen the fines. And if not, that sucks but at least you will have tried.

Tint percentage indicates amount of light allowed to pass.

the lower the number the darker

5% is wayyy darker then 35% tint... the lower percentage, the lower amount of light passing through...

state cops are a lot worse than general city cops.

states usually know all the laws concerning modified vehicles and therefore are better equiped for pulling individuals over. state cops are trained to look for that kind of stuff and are prone to honda's just because well their always modified.

city cops usually don't do too much, because they have other responsibilities like house calls, drugs, and shit like that, there not too intune with car modification violations.

just ask wayne (maple), he never gets pulled by city cops, but always when hes on the highway he gets pulled over for states, because thats there main premise.

sorry to hear about the tickets, and hopefully you'll be able to get out of a tleast a few.

well thanks guys for the good words. I think im going to stay off the intersate from now on and take back roads just to keep under the radar so to speak, But shit happens and ill try and get a reciept for some taking off the tint and replacing the muffler. It's worth a shot.

Damn thats that bullshit right there yo. Tell him as for the exhaust ticket that the muffler had a hole in it because the highway had some junk on it and you hit a big boulder go to someone who can hook you up with an exhaust reciept and pehaps take pictures if the exhaust is nice and finished theyll probably reduce the fine.

Take your plates off your car put them on someone elses window tint that has lighter tint than your it must be on the kodac not regular paper from the computer they catch on thinking maybe you enhanced the photo . Then put your plateso n that car take pictures then take the plates off and go to the place that you went to and tell them to write you out a reciept saying what tint you brought and what percentage it was and the exact date you had gotten it before the ticket and you should be straight,. You gotta fuck the game dont let the game fuck you.

Are you suggesting he does that everytime he gets a ticket?

Alternatively, he could just run legal equipment.

If the trooper pulled you over for an excessively loud exhaust then thats his perrogative to do so. Are there noise laws regarding vehicles where you are? Try looking into them and see what the max decibel level is for your area and see if your vehicle complies.

For tinting, why do dark in the first place? You have something to hide? Tinting that dark not only makes it dangerous for others on the road at night when youre driving as you're not able to see them as well as with lighter tinting, but its also dangerous for peace officers when they pull you over: if they cant see thru the tinting, how are they supposed to know if you are there by yourself minding your own, or if you have 5 people with weapons in the vehicle ready to take him down?

Go fix your tinting if nothing else.

not alot of paperwork if you know who to go to if you cant fight the ticket atleast theyll give you a reduction as for runnin the right equipment,cops are gonna say it illegal just because they wanna do what they want anyway soooooooo why not fight back. Why not do it everytime he gets a ticket its not like he gets a ticket everyday.

Why blame the cops for doing their jobs when it's YOU running illegal equipment? It's a risk you take when you modify your car. You don't need an extremely loud exhaust to make your car fast. There are quiet ones out there. Remember, it's you who broke the law, not them. Don't blame the people who do their job, and then when you car gets stolen that it's their fault because they aren't doing anything. I'm in training for my ACT 120 right now and trust me, they do a lot more behind the scenes than you see. A lot of times the thieves are caught, just not publically announced.

You people need to get it through your head that whether it's a murder case, or a simple traffic ticket, they're doing what they get paid to do. You wouldn't like it if I went and smashed out your windows and said oh, I'm a cop but I'm not going to do anything about it. Fuck the police, why should I do my job and pull people over or arrest someone for smashing your windows?

Don't cry about traffic tickets and then want them to help you when you really do need something is all I'm trying to say. It's no one's fault but your own.

I only say that about this cop because i wasnt speeding or endangering anyone but just minding my own buisiness. A harley went by and his exhaust is as loud or louder than mine so why didnt he go give him a ticket for the same thing. My car is legal, Tags, county and inspection sticker. I even offered to put my silencer in and he said no. So i just felt like letting some steam off really. So theres my rant and as for the tint i bought the car with the tint on it. Yea i did know it was illegal so i just was mad cuz he was kinda an ass. But thats it im done ranting now.

32% is darker than 50%....................... the percentage is comparison to how much is allowed through the tinting......
