Tire Flew INTO my car (Hood is F'ed up, Headlight GONE)!!!

I'm sort of freaking out, so forgive me if there is any typos or grammar errors.

-I was doing 65 on the highway going home.
-The car in front of me had its rim and tire fall off and smash into the front of my car.
-He pulled over somewhere behind me, I couldn't get over until about 15 seconds later due to people swerving out of the way after the tire flew off my bumper.
-My Carbon Fiber hood has a massive crack in the front and completely seperated near the latch, it is barely holding on, and I used some clear silicone to hold it in place for now. (pics to come when I can collect myself)
-Passenger Side headlight is completely destroyed.
-I feel like shit basically, but I'm glad I'm ok, people can get really F'ed up when shit flies through their window @ 65.
-Leave some thoughts and comments or assitance.
-I'm still shaking a bit.

Damn thats pretty shitty....good thing it wasn't worse....did you get the info from the person...they should pay from insurance for all damages its their fault even if it was an "accident"

fuckin shitty dude. anything else messed aside from that? like windshield or a dent on the pillar or something? cracked bumper? fender ok? if it's just your headlight and hood, that's prolly the best outcome you could have from something like that. headlight is no big deal so the hood is really the only problem. tell him to give you a few hundred for it. unless it's possible to have it repaired?? prolly not.
glad you're ok. given some recent accidents of members on here, i think you've got the least...minus your hood being carbon.

Well its not his fault is mechanical error got another hood used for 60 bucks only has a baby small dent in it for sale if youd like. Also let me know more i got a hook up on parts ever since my accident .

damn.. yesterday i was lookin at stuff on my cell.. noticed the car in front of me swerved out of the lane i was in.. just by the corner of my eye and as i looked up there was this wooden box thing .. and yeah a lil too late for me swerve out.. so i ran over it.. blahh eff'd up the front bumper =( whatever, it had to eb replaced anyways

Thanks a lot guys for making me feel better about my shitty situation. Great community honestly.

I went to a junkyard today and I can't believe it but I got a passenger headlight for next to nothing. That will be installed tommorow. As for the hood, well...contacted the guy I originally bought it from, he quoted me 280 shipped. So, I'm sorta happy. For the time being I thought some sparco hood pins should help to hold it down better, I think that should do the trick.

I'm just worried that the hood will fly up. sigh.

I came to the realization today that I am alive and this could have went really bad.

well it could be the guys fault if he cross threaded his studs or something. either way, are you gettin anything from this guys insurance? glad you're ok and definitely you are very lucky. like its already been said, this could have sucked ALOT worse for you. i bet youre driving wide eyed alert now.
