What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
Are you guys referring to the little ring above the ball joint i believe? When i took it out it was split in half. I have the occasional fenderwall tap due to the camber kit and being low.
See!!! You are too low!!!!!!! Anyone in NY who drives that low is crazy. Mike seen my ride height, 4 fingers in front...3 in the back. And I am proud of it!
I bet you had that camber kit that just repositioned the knuckle farther from the balljoint...

Since it obviously isn't the "ball joint" type, and since his UCA bushing are out, I'd say it was the UCA bushing type...the ones that are actually designed to push the UCA into the inner fender.
A style to avoid if you're planning to slam, which i am, Sam....shazaam!

You could be right. However, its only the picture of the UCA. He most likely went to inspect the UCA, found it damaged, and removed it from there. However, either camber kit design looks to be pretty bad imo. Pushing the UCA out that far has to stress out the ball joint, thus causing premature failure. The other type just looks damaging.
Eh, I had my ebay ones on my car for quite some time and they held up better than my stock ones did. I guess it's the rough roads in NY compared to the smooth ones here.
Sorry to see that.

If someone is going to remove the UCA, they sure as heck aren't going to remove it from the bushings and leave the bushings in place. There isn't room to get the bolts out.
Pushing the UCA out actually put less stresses on the ball joint, since it allows it to sit at a more vertically at rest.
Premature failure is caused by smashing the UCA into the inner fender.

Wow shonuff hey bro you need to raise the car up your joint is lower than mine. Bro Be careful I dont even have my car that low you know this personally too. Im avoinding the slammed look its just not worth it im concentrating on lightweight upgrades.
I dont remember who i got it from exactly, My car is not slammed though by any means 3 fingers i believe. The kit is the design that pushes the arm further out, thus being too close to the fenderwall, The link that TysCb7 posted is the little problem i had. NYC highways in the spring are the worst.
