Probally because we can use pics in our signatures.

yep.. well i mean i guess it takes up bandwidth.. i was trying to get them enabled but we have sigs.. i personally like the avatar more than sig but thats just my opinion

partially, the reason is because of bandwidth - but in my opinion, i just think that avatars kinda junk up the forum more. don't you all think a signature gives enough character to each member? do we really need both avatars and sigs everywhere? to me, forums like that look like a circus or something.. lol...

it's up to you all... i just always thought it looked more pro/technical/cleaner without them.

I also think it looks better without them. Like on another forum it has so much other stuff that distracts me from reading the thread, like avatars, model make/year/etc., and other unneeded crap, I mean if someone really wanted to know about a member, they can always click on the tab under the post.
I think sigs are good enough info, but can get annoying if too big.
