Sound is a vibration, that's all it is. When the tree hits the ground, the particles in the air vibrate back and forth very quickly. When the vibrations radiate outward, the amplitude decreases and eventually flatten out to 0dbs. When it hits that point, the air is no longer vibrating and no more sound is created...

It's gotta be the egg...perhaps the chicken was a crossbreed of some other birds; in any case something couldn't turn into a chicken after the egg was hatched. Even under exposure to radiation (which was possible in prehistoric times) things don't mutate fast enough to make dramatic changes in appearance. HOWEVER, they DO change fast enough to affect FUTURE generations, which would lead me to believe that the egg did indeed come before the chicken. NEXT

In that case, what theory do you suggest we subscribe to? Evolution, as 'flawed' as it's presentation may be, is backed by solid scientific evidence. Please don't respond with "Creationalism", as most debates pitting these two theories against each other are inherently flawed and quickly turn into nothing but circular reasoning..... i'm interested to hear your response and theory of how we are here if 'evolution' is out of the question...

evolution is NOT backed by any scientific evidence. i would be interested to see where there is ANY scientific proof of evolution. The debate between Creationism and Evolution is not a circular reasoning debate, but rather a refusal by both parties to open up their minds beyond what they have been spoon-fed to believe in. Honestly, i am still searching for answers, i cannot believ that in this unmeasurable galaxy that we humans are the only reason it all exists. Theres something else, i just havent found a self satisfying answer. The reason i say Evolution is moronic is not because i am a creationist, but rather because I have studied the "where we came from" debate and reasonings tediously. Evolutionists do have balls for being no doubt the most loyal to an unproven theory, but at the expense of truth and fear of going against the "norm" most evolutionists have just accepted the theory as fact, despite obvious proof that evolution cannot and never would work. SO many problems with the evolution theory, i cannot get into them all here. Creationists require that you belive in God, a God with no beginning, no end, who created and put us all here. I believe in God. problem is, in my studues i cannot figure out for the life of me why He would put us here. Heres the thing. If God is an all powerful being with no limit, no beginning, no end, at what point during that immeasurable time period did he decide to just "create" man? and for what purpose? Christians believe that He gives us "free will" while also teaching that God knows all, every choice we make or will make He already knows. how is that free will? IF he knew Adam and Eve would sin in the Garden of Eden, Why even put them there in the first place? Why make any human go through the trials and tribulations of life? if He loves us so much, why make us struggle? I can't wrap my mind around it. Also, are we God's first Earth? if creationism is true, how do we know we're not galaxy number 479 and this is all one big experiment? Some Christians have told me i am basically full of it, while none have given me an answer.

so to sum up, i dont know how we got here or why were here or where we're going or what the point of all this is. so i do the only thing i can which is live each day to the fullest best i can and struggle and work like the rest of you to make a living so i can provide myself with some sort of wordly comforts while im here. hell, might as well enjoy the ride.

I have done research, quite a bit of it actually. i have seen articles that try to disprove evolution, and honestly they all seem like a runaround to me.

You dont even HAVE to do research to see that evolution is a real process, you can see it happening first hand if you just look around you. Iv seen lab tests that were able to replicate evolution within a matter of days.

Why do you think bacteria become immune to antibiotics? it sure as hell isnt coincidence.

Im not going to argue this anymore, I know im not going to change anyone mind, and no one is going to change my mind. its a pointless battle.

i do apologize for assuming you were refering to creationism, but calling people idiots for beliving in something that is proven (whether you want to believe it or not) was uncalled for. There are plenty of redily available examples backing up evolution. For instance...look at those moths in England that adapted their colorations to match the soot covered smokestacks they lived on....therefore evolving to meet their needs. Evolution is as simple as, say, breeding show dogs. The English Bulldog, Pit Bull, St Bernard, all Hound families... all a product of cross breeding, suited for different environments.... in essence a product of evolution

Now, bear with me. Yes, evolution is still, in essence, a THEORY (not a proven fact)...but honestly, what other explanation is there? If there are so many flaws contributing to this theory not holding water, enlighten us with a couple?

Honestly, i dont see what is so hard to stomach about evolution. It is a more than spelled out legitement theory documented by hard evidence. Hell, the people who attack 'Darwinism' as being flawed are the same ones who will defend creationalism till the bloody end, with nothing but a book to back up their assertions... Keep in mind Darwin wrote his thesis about 100 years ago, and much else has been discovered since, and continues to every day...but thats the point of a theory.

actually, no scientist has ever created life in a lab. The evolution proof in a lab you are referring to did yield in some amino acids, but that was it and the scientists also got a bunch of crap like tar in the mix, not to mention they formed it all in an oxygen deprived environment. just please research more and do it all with open eyes, you will be surprised at the results i guarantee you. i agree this thread needs to go back on topic and i didnt mean to call anyone idiots, im just surprised that evolution still has such a strong following. to me it was a no-brainer. i'll ask just one of my hundreds of questions i have for evolution:
Which evolved first (how, and how long; did it work without the others)?

* The digestive system, the food to be digested, the appetite, the ability to find and eat the food, the digestive juices, or the body’s resistance to its own digestive juice (stomach, intestines, etc.)?
* The drive to reproduce or the ability to reproduce?
* The lungs, the mucus lining to protect them, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs?
* DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message to cell parts?
* The termite or the flagella in its intestines that actually digest the cellulose?
* The plants or the insects that live on and pollinate the plants?
* The bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or muscles to move the bones?
* The nervous system, repair system, or hormone system?
* The immune system or the need for it?

What?? I never said scientists CREATED life...they took one form of life, and made it adapt to an evironment. it had nothing to do with acids. it was actually fruit flys. living, breathing insects.

Adaptation, my friend. You have a fish. A fish lives in water. Fish makes its way onto land. Fish dies. Other fish follow this trend, until the species begins to develop lungs in order to process oxygen. Get it yet? Its pretty simple really... by no means am i saying this happened overnight... and its the same with every other example you listed... for example, the immune system. You have monkey. Monkey gets sick. Monkey dies. Over time, monkeys develop something to help them survive, due to prolonged exposure to said conditions. Think of it as 'reverse AIDS', if you will. Keep in mind they werent exactly CHOOSING where they wanted to live/ weather/ environment etc... plus, your immune system is, primarily, composed of bacteria. Your immune system evolves on a level similar to how we came to be (theoretically speaking).... After all, we did come from bacteria in the beginning if you 'subscribe' to a BOGUS theory like evolution Enough evidence yet?
