Need help to pick which UPS job to choose from...

So, since im broke, I need a job, and the current place where I work (ups store) gives me shitty hours, well I need a job.

I went to the main UPS to work in the distribution center the other day and I was down for it. Took the tour and everthing was well. I had to bullshit saying I wasnt going back to school becuase there not looking for summer people etc and I need a job so I said Im not going back to school, which if i do, well id transfer to the Warwick, RI hub. I mean get rehired there*


But 8.50 to start unloading/ loading

9.50 for skilled job like sorting etc


.50 raise after 90 days and id you have someone down refereal, well you get 100$ after 30 days. And I know someone so Ill get that 100$.



She mentioned she could give me two jobs since I have experience.

I could drive the Ups Truck from the Customer center, to accross the st to get packages and back.... from 6-11pm

or


I could Sort packages in the main hub... which would be tiring, always moving, etc.



What should I do?

Im thinking of driving the truck or something any ideas?

dont u have to be 23 to drive a truck....do that tho

i load..it sucks...constant lifting and bitching supervisors and like connnsttaannt work and packages

She never mentioned anything about driving record.

Wait a minute wayne you may not be elgible. According to all those tckets you gotten from the past they look at that and didnt you get a speeding ticket awhiles back they go back as 4 years you have any serious tickets like driving without this and that and found guilty of it no driver position for you so your fucked. And what cannot the brown do for you.

Wait a minute who did you talk to about the job?

Theres no way you can start off as a driver even I went to the exact same place, and they said you usually have to wait nearly a year to drive their trucks.



Plus I think you probably need a CDL license.


I would've taken the sorting job myself had they not given me the run-around. Take the skilled @ $9.50

Plus I highly doubt they'll let you touch company vehicles if you've have a really bad driving record.
