    CD title

Anyone know what a CD title is? There is an ebay auction, and the title is listed as CD. The car is now going for pretty cheap, and seems sketchy, but just wondering what the hell it is. Since the auction is over.. heres a link.

I was not the high bidder, but just got an email of a "second chance" or something.. the high bidder backed out. My bid would be pretty rediculous, so I am guessing its just an automatic response to all that have bid on the item.

tell the owner that before you make a decision you want to test drive the car. that s2k should have atleast gone for 20 grand. it also says "export only" in the description

I'm betting CD title is something like a builders or salvage title...

It can cut the value of a car down alot as they are harder to insure
      Hi, I'm Shippo and I have a problem. I keep buying CB7's.

seems like the car was in a accident where the front got damaged and thats why it has a new bumper, headlights, and the airbag must have deployed and he couldn't afford a oem one. just a thought

yeah, i figure it must be some weird kind of title. I definately wouldnt pay or anything w/o going there and test driving it. For the price.. I dont care if its some screwy title, since I am not really concerned with resale value anyways.

I emailed the seller so we'll see if he responds.

I actually think I figured it out...

Certificate of Destruction. When a car is fubared in FL, they either offer a rebuildable title, or a certificate of destruction which never can be titled/insured or legally driven on the road again.

Now why this joker decides to put all that money into a trashed car is beyond me. The car would be perfect for a track car.... since they dont have to be road legal, but obviously I need something that is legal on the road.

the owner should part the whole car out. he'll get more than 11k easily.

Yeah... well I am still trying to figure out why you would put all that money into a car that can never be titled again.

But as for 11k... My highest bid was 4500, and I guess it has come back to me. Of couse, thats not a bad deal, and I would be all over it if it were at least street legal... but its not, so its useless to me.

first of all its not going that cheap because he had a reserve set on the auction, for those of you who dont know what a reserve is
Click Here>, Ebay Reserve Price about the cd title thing, i doubt that its anything bad forst because of the way he worded it, and second if it was something bad then why would he even bother putting it in, 75 percent of the people proby have no clue just like us!!

I bid up to 4500 i think.. i know what a reserve is.. I have gotten two emails from ebay for "second chance offer" I am not sure exactly how it works, but right now the second chance offer price is at 4590. The car is kinda useless IMO unless you have money to spend on a track car. One thing that I do wonder about is the fact that there are no engine pics. The front end isnt sitting high.. but who knows.
