laptops on ebay

ok im in the market for a laptop. Im not to big on have big the screen is. All i really want is a cd/dvd burner. And some good amount of space. And i need the normal stuff word windows type stuff. You think buying a laptop off ebay is a good idea. I was lookin at a dell/ gateway i see there are like 400 where in the stores you pay no less then 800. Anyone have any good buys on there

i bought my ibook g4 off of ebay...and its worked great *knocks on wood*..the main reason i bought it on ebay was that it came with like 2k worth of programs..ebay has some good things, but also some bad...just have to make sure your buying quality..

120 gb hd
dual layer burner
2 gb ram
x1400 graphics card
intel t2300e core duo


i use it for gaming and video editing and it works great.

but anyways i'd recommend acer.
