    cops are stupid

    i'm here driving around jamaica plain in boston.. and next thing you know on the other side of the road... you see the cop.. he looks at me funny.. next thing you know he bust a u turn and come after me.. i'm like shit... well he goes sir you have your plates relocated on the wrong side of the bumper i'm like what? as you know i have my plates on the right side of the car under the bumper light... makes the car looks sicks(madd jdm yo!)) than he goes you got this big meter in front of you.. mind you its a tachometer from autometer that i bolted to pillar( i think thats what you call it.) than he goes the back of your car is lower than the front.. i'm like maybe i have blown shocks???? fucking dickhead.. he went on and on telling me all the bad things in my car.. i literally told him you must not be on duty.. because if you were you would be looking for criminial and investigating 5 crime scenes that happened a few days ago. he laughs and says your a smartass..

    i swear they have nothing to do.. he was like i can be a smartass to.. wait here.. next thing u know he give me like 4 tickets.. not having front plates.. i do have front plates.. obstructing view... adjustable suspension.. and this other thing i forgot.. total up to 625.00 this is bullshit i swear..


    you can't drive an import nowadays without gettin harrass..

        naw i feel him on that... we got pulled out the in coutnry the other day for following to closely.. and the girls house we went to go "failure to use turnsignal 100 feet before a sign" or some bs like that... its christmas time.. they gotta get paid too..

            i get followed often (usually once a day) but hardly ever get pulled over, after a couple minutes he turns back off and goes back to waiting. why? my car isnt loud, i drive the speed limit, and im not an asshole.

            were you speeding? why did he say he pulled you over, was it only because of the plate?

                  we was crossing each other pass.. he look at me i looked at him. he bust a u turn and than talk to me about my plate..


                  than he walks around my car and tell me everything he notice.. no i was speeding.. i was at a stoplight on one side and so was he. on the opposite direction..

                    Yup...I agree its all BS.
                    I also agree that many cops suck...but thankfully I haven't personally dealt with any of them. Why did he pull you over in the first place? He obviously can't see your rear going the opposite direction...and if he was trying that hard to see it, then I say he must've had his eyes off the road for way too long. Maybe you should've thanked him for noticing that something was wrong with your car (suspension), and that you'll have it looked at. Maybe he would've realized he won't get your nerves, which it seems he was trying to do, so then he could write a bit ticket for his ego and quota. The tach could've been in the car when you got it, for all he knows. Which to me should've been a fix-it ticket, along with the suspension. And I've never heard of any law regarding suspension except for a maximum height.
                    Seems they need to meet their quota, and you were just an easy target. Hope you can go to court and prove that you're not an easy target.

                    I got a warning for going a bit too fast just the other day. It was very cold, so I left the engine running...he (nor the other guy) didn't say anything about my louder than stock muffler (though it looks stock), or any BS about my wheels or suspension, or the bracket for my shifter that is plainly visible since there is no boot on it. Didn't try to say something about my rocker panel moldings (sideskirts) not being on, etc. I've been lucky to not get pulled over and ticketed for BS. Though I am an Ok looking white guy, I'm pretty young, which I'm surprised hasn't gotten me in more trouble as I've driving a Honda since I got my license.

                      I think its a bunch of shit, but maybe just swallow your tongue and not make any comments like that. I agree it isn't right if he's a prick like that because of your comment, but then again, if he gets it a lot, he going to become less forgiving of smartass comments, I would think.

                        You must have been doing something that caused you to be pulled over....In Ma non moving violations such as liscense plate being on the wrong side or whatever are secondary offenses. They can't be the main reason you got pulled over.

                        Yeah the cop does sound like he was just being an ass but you gave him attitude and totally deserved what you got.

                          Maybe swallow your tongue? Even if the cop is being an arrogant prick, the only thing to do in situations like that IS TO swallow your tongue, pride and ballsack and be polite until he lets you go. Maybe you'll get a ticket, but you'll ALWAYS ALWAYS make it worse by running your mouth like an asshole speeding teenage driver. Has anyone here ever told a cop to fuck off and NOT gotten a ticket?

                              oh i'm not saying that it was a legitimate reason to pull him over. i'm just saying that there was another reason. I've had a cop say there were pulling me over for running a red light when I had stopped at it and then it turned Green.

                              I was simply stating that there must have been another reason... and if there wasn't then that could even be a way to fight it.
