Thought i'd share. Maybe i'll try to save hip hop or somethin
I use compound syllables if that helps to hear which parts rhyme.
Its like a taste of my own vanity,
when my mind's eye mouths off,
and i hear no sanity.
Shackle me to see all the calamity,
or smile back and lemme roam 'round free.
I'm Nas drunk drivin' tipsy,
let the pen steer me through the curves,
so the rails miss me.
Guide me home but save the warmth of the salvation,
close my eyes and sleep next to the heartless, the vacant.
No need for church or deitys, that'd be a replacement.
I'll get drunk off the thought that life's what you make it.

I manifest like the west and walk through the fire,
strive the lone path wit the deadliest desires,
dim lit road holding two palms dear to eachother,
all awhile whisperin' a prayer for my brothas.
Its moments like this that paint the picture,
a life intertwined in a silent scripture.
I bear the name of my past sins,
but present the truth to ya,
seen etched deep in my skin,
like my soul's future is lucifer's.
One man's first can be that same man's last,
Seven different hells when a heart is clashin'
but i'll walk this lonely path,
Just to find her, the sweetest of passions.
