    CB7's in the snow

Ok, I know at least some of you are in Cali, florida, etc. where it hardly ever snows enough to compromise driving. I on the other hand live in central virginia. We usually get a couple REAL bad snow storms each winter. Last winter was the worst (possibly 2nd worst) winter I can remember. The schools were closed for like a couple weeks. I kinda live out in the boonies so for a good week I was driving on roads that were completly covered with about 3-4" of snow and ice.

I gotta tell you, that was the funnest week of my life! My neighbor has a big ass bronco and I could damn near do anything he could. Have any of you guys gotten a chance to drive in the snow? For those of you that live in a hotter climate, you have no idea what you're missing.

i dont know if i've been stuck either...hondas arent too bad in the snow. my dad used to have a rwd lincoln and that thing was the biggest piece of shit in the snow. i remember when i had my 17" konigs last year and i was being lazy and didnt take my wheels off and put the steelies on in like oct. when i should have...there was like a freak snow storm and in the morning there was like 3-4" of fresh snow and it took me like 30 minutes to get to school, a normal 10 minute drive. yokohama paradas = bad snow tires

i've always sported my 17" Konigs (on nitto nt 450s) in the winter time...

but if it was snowing hard outside, i'd usually keep my car in the garage unless i REALLY had to make a trip out.

this winter, i'm throwin' the EX 15"s on though... no worries there

i may also have to take the lip off if it snows... otherwise, i'll be a CB7 Snow Plow

I was wondering about that. I like the look of the lip but I don't know exactly what to look for, price, or whether on not you have to take them off in the winter. You answered one question, wanna answer the others?

Yeah, I can imagine that you would not care to leave your car out in the snow!
My car on the other hand... I guess I'm so used to driving in bad weather (snow, rain, sleet, hail, ice...) that I really see no difference. My CB7 handles just fine though. However, since I swapped in the H22, I've been spinning my wheels a lot more in the rain. Snow should be interesting!

For some reason, I prefer to drive in bad weather. Right now I have the cheapest tire available so it's a little uneasy. However, my dad had a Volvo 760 turbo that totally kicked ass. He had a great set of tires on it and I loved driving in rain, wind, fog, whatever. One time I went shopping at a place like 4-5 hours away, on the way home I was driving through a damn near hurricane for several hours. I loved it, every body was all scared and driving slow. I had plenty of experience in bad weather and I know what the car could do. So I was driving at almost regular cruising speed and I was passing everbody left and right. With flying past people and seeing a bagillion rain drops hitting the windshield. It was almost like I was racing in space.

dude!! thats me!! ive been driving my corolla for a few years till i recently got the accord and i know exactly how it handles w/ the current tires, and i can drive it thru any kind of weather, worse=preferred. i absolutely LOVE driving down a highway w/ pouring rain, dark (where u can hardly see anything inside the car besides the dash lights and ur headlights), foggy, windows open (going to get rain deflectors for the accord soon), music blasting, cruisin around cars w/ their flashers on and stuff. that is my favorite driving condition!!!! when i get the accord all set up im probably gonna go out driving on those kind of nights just for fun its cool to know that someone else likes it too.

Yeah, I'm totally with you. A couple of times I've had to drive my mom because of the weather and I scare the shit out of her every time, bad weather or not. To make it even worse, she's the type that always goes 5mph UNDER the speed limit. I can't scare her too much though, she'll have a coronary.
