If they were using your computer, there is no "expectation of privacy", therefore, there were no laws broken (yet).

But for example, if they sign on to yahoo and uncheck "remember me" but he still has keylogger then it's wrong. And if they ask to use his comp he should say "Sure, but you should know that I have keylogger" With all the ID theft going on now, it's only the right thing to do.

there are written laws, and there are moral laws.

stealing people's passwords, is immoral, there for illegal? not in the "sentenced to life" respect of course. but in the "be a fucking decent human being" respect.

i dont see why people need a key logger anyway. what are you so paranoid about?

I suppose I view the moral aspects of the situation differently, because my PC has a keylogger doesn't make me a bad person. I'm not "stealing" anything, there is a note stateing activities are monitored, you express consent by using my equipment. Didn't I almost buy a bodykit from you way back when? Sorry I bailed on the sale, couldn't get the money off my credit card.

Thats why I olny use MY personal comp for things like that.

The only thing I do on a public comp would be check my email and then I make sure B4 I leave that comp I clear cookies and temp internet files and I change my passwords once a month anyways.

I never do anything sensitive on any computer but my own (occasionally my mom's, but I think I'm safe there ) Anyone who uses a strange computer to do anything that involves their passwords is asking for trouble. I'm all for being honest and respectable, but that doesn't mean people have the right to be naive idiots. Protect yourself first, and don't come crying when you let the wrong person get ahold of your info!
