And there's fear degrading, graphic pictures of Iraqi prisoners at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison that have infuriated the Arab world will embolden terrorists and lead to more bloodshed in the Middle East.

Yup. And now we can blame EVERYONE in the military for the actions of a few idiots. War is stupid. War is psychologically damaging. Seeing your friends get killed 5 feet from you can drive you pretty nuts. Anyone similar to the guy who shot your buddy is "the enemy" and then becomes a target. Put a soldier in a room alone with one of those guys and see what happens. I certainly don't agree with it, but it's not America. It's a few stupid soldiers, no better or worse than the crazies that murder and torture people within our country here. They will pay for their crimes. End of story.

Anyone who wants to start picking on the military, as in the soldiers in general, is an idiot. Look at the division of the nation during Vietnam. The soldiers weren't the bad guys. Sure, there were bad soldiers, but there are bad people everywhere. Many mentally unstable people as well.

      Just a warning:
People WILL be banned from the site if they choose to accuse any of our armed forces members of such atrocities. I will overlook the one instance that I have seen. From this point on, any further attacks of this nature will result in a ban. No warnings issued.

Good idea... no one bothers reading those though... or any of the stickies for that matter. I move so many "hi, I'm new" threads to the noobie thread it's crazy!

I think Steve has something about respecting members on there. That kinda covers it, I would say.

this whole war is a big joke. Why we're over there is stupid to begin with. But they still have my support. Maybe a few hundred US soilders will wake bush up and see we shouldn't really be worrying about other countries when so much is wrong with america

We truly have no right to be over there. Going from our track record in wars that we have no place in, we'll probably lose this one. Hell, I'm losing every time I fill my tank! $1.80 a gallon, and rising...
The soldiers are another story though. Most of them had no interest in going over there. Hell, I guarantee 99% of them have NO interest in Iraq whatsoever. The ones who signed up to fight the terrorists probably thought it would just be a hunt for Al Quaida (sorry if I misspelled it)... what they got was an attack on the "Bush of the Middle East" Saddam Hussein. Good Ol Dubbya could't find the guy that attacked us, so he hit the old standby. Saddam was NEVER a threat to us. And he certainly wasn't the sole supporter of the terrorists, if he was at all! He was just a creep with too much power within his own country.

1.85 for gas, thats the 83 octane? whatever the regular is.. neway.. I think we had to get rid of saddam. but i think the way it was promoted wasnt correct.. btw should gas be cheaper now atleast? lol.. neway.. i think we need to get americas economy back on track and get the homeland security situation handled so that way we dont have to have people worrying about getting on an airplane.. although i feel safe to go on a plane.. alot of people still dont..

Yeah, 93. Jersey gas is supposed to be cheap, and I go to Wawa (convenience store that just started with gas). They have nice cheap pices because cheap gas gets people into their stores Decent quality, too. Other places are $1.91+

you are correct, its not america or the whole armed forces that should be blamed for this. hopefully these few idiots will get whats coming to them. if my first post pissed anybody off, i apologize.

i also belive that when america went to iraq, they went with the best of intentions, even though the UN didn't back them. If the UN had of backed them, Canada would of been over there as well. I think that now they have done what they went to do, that is get rid of that fuckstain Saddam. I think they should jet now though, shits gettin ugly over there, and its only gonna get worse IMO. many people in the arab world hate america as it is, and when they hear about shit like this, they arnt going to rightfully blame the few who took part, they will blame america as a whole.

so good luck to your boys and girls over there, they are most likley in for a rough ride.

Naw Trites, you're cool. Your post didn't offend, I don't think. And you're completely right. Nice to see a foreigner (if you can really call a Canadian that) supports us! Canada always confuses me.... you're not Americans (well, you ARE North Americans, but you know what I mean) but the only true differences are location and government. Everything else is just about the same... except for the French Canadians... But they confuse me even more

I need to try some good Canadian beer. I thought LeBatt's was poop, and Molson Ice was ok...

                            My favorites are probably:
                            Beck's Dark
                            Yuengling
                            Newcastle
Bud Light (for those cheap, thirsty days! )

What's a good Canadian beer? I'm guessing that Molson, Lebatts, andall the well known beers are like Bud, Coors, and Miller... Not exactly top-notch, but popular nonetheless.
