I finished school monday, went back to work yesterday (tuesday). I work for my dad in a warehouse. job sucks, but it pays well.

Id say go to someplace like BJs right off 24 and just hold it together with both Bjs and Advanced Auto.

Plus I know Brockton has a bus system that runs thru out the city, hell what better way to save gas?

Consider yourself lucky you didn't grow up miles away from everything in cow country East Taunton/Lakeville.

yea i live in Randolph, pretty close to everything on the South Shore... and like 20 minutes from Boston.

HondaB18 - i go to school at UMass Amherst. this is my last semester here because i decided to go to tech. school instead. i leave this shit hole tomorrow at 3pm

i got out the 16th, and i have until january 24th off. Pretty damn long if you ask me. I'll be hitting the gym hard, and hanging around with my buddies for a great deal of break...maybe head down to conneticut, maybe california, we'll see

yea i want to get to the gym too, but i'm not so happy about the WOW in randolph. everything's purple in there and they try to get every penny out of you, whether on the downpayment or the monthly fee.. maybe i'll go to the YMCA outta town

but i was reading your post and you said you didn't like Umass Amhearst? My buddy transferred from Roger Williams University to there last year, and he says the parties are out of control, is that true?

and yea gyms are a rip off these days. The one on the cape where my father lives is 450$ a month...although the one in vermont is only 45 a month with a 145 membership start up fee... a lot of money just to use some weights.

UMass Amherst is a party school if you want it to be. personally, i wasnt the crazy party type while i was here. i think if i did hit up the parties often, i would be flunking out. parties hit the hardest over in Southwest dorm's and the frat's/sororities. if you live over in Sylvan, Northeast(where i live), North apt's, you dont have crazy parties. it's more of a hangout and drink kind of thing outside of the bigger parties. at the big parties though, they do tend to get a little crazy.

did you see the news about the riot because the Minutemen lost the championship? Southwest was flooded with thousands of students and they threw shit and broke the dining commons windows. they also lit bushed on fire and a whole bunch of other crap just cause we lost

yeah i heard about that, it's a shame...but with big schools things are bound to get outta control. Amhearst wouldn't be for me, since i would prolly get caught up in the partying, but i was thinking about visiting.
