Take a break from her and see what happens. If you forget her, she wasn't really all that important to you. If you can't forget her, maybe there's something worth going back for... If she's still there for you, then maybe it's mutual. Don't let it be a convenience thing though. It's WAY too easy to be with someone because it's what you know, and not because it's what you want. (I took a LONG break from my wife to truly figure out which was the case for us... we broke up and got back together a number of times as well... for us, staying together was the right thing)

If things were starting to go down the drain then it was time to break up. I've been through a similar situation before, and it turned out better that we never got back together. It's harder to get through a situation where you were in love with the girl, but it is possible. Do things that will keep your mind off the situation, and you'll start to feel better. Always hang out with your friends because they will be there for you. If you're really meant to be with her then you'll get back together, but you HAVE to give this situation time to develop. My roommate just broke up with his GF a week ago, and he loved her as well. I gave him the same advise I am giving you right now. Good luck man, you'll be fine!
