its not hard how it figures out what your thinking of, i read somewhere about those things, it splits everything into groups, and then by asking questions, it eliminates groups and moves to the next possible group. but, its still a cool toy, i love how when your thinking of something bad, it says something like "unpure thought" hahahaha or "something illegal"

just google "20 questions" and there should be one on a website where you just think and push a button "yes" or "no" and on the 20th question it will get it right

thing scared the crap out of me the first time i played it (first sitting, like... i played it over and over and over). its almost always accurate, which is very surprising. only complaint is that it sometimes asks unclear questions that are hard to answer, and if you dont answer properly itll throw it off. but still impressive nonetheless.
